Hello! Because of the futbol game tonight I don't have time to write everything down about Barcelona right now. However, I did put some photos up in the meantime if you feel like glancing at them:
Look! The Mediterranean! Lexi and I went swimming in this! Clothing was optional on the beach! Terrifying!

We wanted to see Gaudí's park, and for this we toiled up a very very very long hill in middle of the day Spanish heat. It was pretty ridiculous stuff. The pictures don't quite grab hold of the indefinite amount of steps. At some points we were guessing the incline was 30 - 45 degrees, depending. Eventually they gave us a whole bunch of outdoor escalators, thank goodness.

At the top of that giant hill we found Calvary...as Gaudí imagined it. I took some pictures overlooking Barcelona from the top:

In the actual touristy part of the park. It looks like he is about to eat someone's cabeza.
There were acres and acres of crawling tunnels and bridges and cool stone things.
And of course, strange architecture!

Later on in the day we wandered down to Barcelona's "Gotic" neighborhood to find old cathedrals and the Picasso museum. We never found that museum, but we did stumble across the ancient Roman walls of the city:

One of the cathedrals we came across was actually another of Gaudí's brainchildren! So of course, we had to go in. We were working on collecting every single one of his buildings, it seems. There was a service going on while we were there so we felt a tad disrespectful, but so many people were talking and taking pictures and filming that we really were quite well behaved, as tourists went. I still decided to take a picture of the stained glass window at the entrance, and a view of the front of the church.

Credit goes to Lexi for pointing out this guy's kilt. Andy, I met your new best friend. Becky...this could be your future. Just let him grow out his hair!!!
